VICKSBURG, MS- July 16, 2009 - Strategic Sports Management, LLC &
Kstrut PR & Marketing Group presents The 2009 NBA Championship
Weekend hosted by Josh Powell #21 of the Los Angeles Lakers to be held
in Vicksburg, MS, July 30, July 31 & August 1, 2009. The 2009
NBA Championship Weekend will be hosted personally by NBA Champion
Josh Powell #21 of the Los Angeles Lakers. This three-day weekend will
include a three-day Basketball Camp for youth ages 6-17 to be held at
Vicksburg High School from July 30 thru August 1, 2009. The first night
of festivities will include a Meet and Greet/Celebrity Domino
Tournament at the Luxury Ware House Resort in Vicksburg, MS. The final
night of festivities will include a Celebrity Red Carpet Party at the
Vicksburg Convention Center hosted personally by Josh Powell of the NBA
Champion Los Angeles Lakers. Special Invited guest include: Los Angles
Lakers Teammates, Vicksburg Mayor Paul Winfield, Brandon Bass of the
Orlando Magic, Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic and James Singleton of
the Dallas Mavericks. There also will be a special live performance
by Amar Khalil, lead singer of the the hit group Tony Toni Tone'.

Josh Powell is a mutual client of Karen Strothers-Clark and Jamie
Knox (both Vicksburg natives). Both Karen and Jamie will be working
diligently on this event to make it as pleasurable and memorable as
possible for the Vicksburg Community. This is their way of giving back
to the city that gave them the ability to be in the positions they are
in today.

This will be a three-day weekend filled with true excitement for the
entire family. Professional NBA, NFL, Entertainers and Actors have
been invited to participate in this historic event. Please come out and
support the 2009 NBA Championship Weekend from July 30th thru August 1,
2009. This event will be filled with exciting activities throughout
the entire weekend. Proceeds from the Josh Powell 2009 NBA Championship
Weekend will go towards Scholarships, Basketball Camps and Mentoring
Programs for the youth in the Vicksburg community. Our goal is to
continue the Basketball Camps yearly for the youth. These camps will be
a priceless experience for the youth to remember for a lifetime. Your
support and participation will play such an important role in making
this goal successful.

The purpose of the Josh Powell Celebrity Weekend is to bring awareness
to youth in the community about education, team work, and the importance
of health & fitness. The idea of bringing Professional Athletes and
Celebrities to the Vicksburg area will not only bring excitement for the
Vicksburg Community, but it will also allow the city of Vicksburg to be
known as an up and coming exclusive city to visit for Vacationing and
River Boat Casino Gambling.

Bringing such a remarkable event to the Vicksburg Area is more than an
event; this is a combination of informative information for all the
individuals, celebrities, athletes and sponsors that will be
participating. Participation in this historic event will be one
remembered year after year! We look forward to your support!
